Cambridge is most widely known as the home of the University of Cambridge, founded in 1209 and consistently ranked one of the top five universities in the world. The university includes the renowned Cavendish Laboratory, King’s College Chapel, and the Cambridge University Library. As a location it provides unlimited opportunities particularly if you like taking photos of architecture.

I visited early December and after a cloudy start the winter sun broke through to give a warmth and shadow to what could have been a set of relatively flat images. It’s worth crossing the River Cam to a place called “The Packs” which give a fabulous, and very traditional view of King’s College and the Cambridge skyline. I would also recommend walking round St John’s College where its possible to take photos of the neo-Gothic Bridge Of Sighs.
